We want to celebrate one year (June ‘21) on the farm! Also, special thank you to those who helped us get here.
In the garden we harvested one rhubarb plant and walked away with 12 pounds! There are four more rhubarb plants. Raspberry plants surround the garden. And we have grapes!?!
We started the farm with 1 quail, 2 chickens and 2 ducks, God bless their souls. We learned a lot this first year. Our conditional use permit has been approved to store boats, snowmobile’s, etc. in our buildings.
Next for the farm-spring ‘22: - Plant 8 acres of alfalfa - Start legacy tree plot - Build a large pen - Get 2 goats and 10 turkeys - Start a bee colony for Kalahar Farm honey
